WHO’S GONNA LOVE ME NOW? had its world premiere at the 2016 Berlinale, where it won the Panorama Audience Award for Best Documentary.
Saar grew up in a conservative kibbutz in Israel and is expected to become a paratrooper, just like his father. But when his mother discovers a love letter he has written to another man, Saar is rejected by his community and flees to vibrant London. Here he finds comfort among his 150 fellow members of the London Gay Men’s Chorus. Diagnosed with HIV he fails all expectations of his distance family, but his wish to return grows. Determined to restore their relationship, Saar and his family are willing to risk it all. A beautiful and intimate story unfolds when their struggle to overcome their prejudices starts to succeed.
